Situated in a conservation area due to its distinguished Victorian villas. The consistently high architectural and historic quality of the buildings, combined with the spacious scale of development gives the area a special character and appearance which is considered essential to preserve and enhance.

The overall massing remained the same to be in keeping with the existing street vernacular. Therefore, most of the renovation took place internally. We reconfigured the space internally to meet the client’s living needs with a design that is classic and more sustainable, creating higher-quality space. The base of the design is inspired by the family's castle. Both new and existing roof lights were explored in their placement to amplify the lighting in the property without disrupting the character of the streetscape.
