The Victorian Townhouse has had a complete refurbishment from top to bottom. To make best use of the space we re-arranged the floors so that there were no split levels on ground and first floor, providing more accessible and open space. By removing reduced ceiling heights a vaulted ceiling could be formed for guests to enjoy. To further maximise space we excavated a whole new floor plan in the basement. Not only does this provide the client with additional floor space but also created the opportunity for a flexible space that would cater as a Lower Ground Floor apartment.

Though being below ground, we installed a lightwell to both the front and rear of the property to flood the space with natural light. The rear lightwell also serves as a courtyard for seating and planting.
