What was once an old servants quarters on the top floor of a Chelsea mansion block, it was clear that Bolton Gardens had a lot of potential when we first entered the flat.

We worked to maximise the space in plan, creating an additional bathroom and separate WC, while opening up the ceiling to form a vaulted roof to the living space, playing with volumes to take visitors on a journey through the space. Seven rooflights were added to allow natural light to pour through the flat, with views through to the beautiful chimney-scapes above and a new staircase up to the new roof terrace.
