Cast Studio is an architecture and interiors design company based in South East England. Established in 2018, the studio specialises in both playful and pragmatic residential design, with a strong interest in materiality and detailing.
Throughout all stages of the creative process, the studio strives to bring life into the design. Each project is approached as a unique design investigation, working closely with clients to ensure that the finished product fits their brief through creative design solutions.

The rear of the property was transformed through a series of extensions and an overhaul of the garden with new white painted timber sash windows installed.

The ground floor living space was opened up to the entrance with the dropped ceiling removed to create extra height. The staircase was modernised and an extra flight added.

The kitchen was enlarged to the rear and side, forming an open-plan kitchen diner flooded with natural light from the sliding doors to the rear and rooflights above.

The loft was converted into an additional bedroom with en-suite, and extended out to the rear with a juliette balcony.

Old services were removed and/or relocated to open up the space for a new kitchen. Roof lights were added along the full length of the flat.

Low ceilings were opened up to the vaulted roof with the existing beams exposed and several rooflights added to bring natural light into the space.

The entrance corridor was previously overly complex and dark. A rooflight brought light into the space and a new permanent stair / ladder provides access to the roof.

The dated bathroom was replaced with a an en-suite, with an additional en-suite and WC created within previously unused corridor space.
